Overview: Campaign Basics
Every great campaign starts with knowing your audience and having a strategy that makes you stand out.
When you start a new campaign in Interceptly, you’ll land on the main setup screen.
From there, you can:
View status, completion rate, number of steps, and creation details
Rename your campaign
Select a search type
Configure campaign steps
Adding a Search
To add your target audience to the campaign, select "+ Add Search" and choose one of the following:
Search URL – LinkedIn or Sales Navigator
Post URL – Target by post engagement
Event URL – For attendees of a specific event
Group URL – Target members of a LinkedIn group
Navigator List – Saved Sales Navigator search
Recruiter URL or Search – Recruiter-based targeting
CSV Upload – Upload your own list of prospects
Intent Data – Add prospects based on real-time buying signals
Once added, you can easily copy the search via the on-screen button.
🎓 Note: You can only delete a search link before launching a campaign. Once live, you can pause the search — but not delete it.
Campaign Settings: Full Breakdown
To tailor your campaign performance, head to the Settings tab inside your campaign.
Here’s what you can control:
Outreach Type
Choose between two outreach styles:
Multichannel – Includes Social actions like connection requests, messages, and InMails
Email-Only – Strictly email-based outreach
🎓 Note: If you choose Email-Only, LinkedIn-specific settings such as Premium Accounts Only and Connection Request Limit will not be available, as they're not relevant to this channel.
Scheduled Pause
Need to pause the campaign at a future date? Set a Scheduled Pause, and Interceptly will automatically stop sending on your selected date.
🗓 Read: How to Schedule a Pause for full instructions.
Connection Request Limit
Control how many connection requests are sent per day.
Toggle this setting ON
Set your max request limit under Requests Per Day
Leave it at zero if you want to stop connection requests for now
⚠️ If the limit is ON but the daily value is 0, no requests will go out.
Premium Accounts Only
Want to target only LinkedIn Premium users? Toggle this ON.
When enabled, campaign steps are only executed for LinkedIn Premium users.
If your search or uploaded list includes standard LinkedIn accounts, those prospects will be automatically marked as “Pending” with a note: Profile is not Premium.
This setting is practical when targeting high-engagement users or accounts likely to have advanced networking tools.
Track Link Opens
Enabling this setting allows you to track how often your links are being selected inside messages and emails.
When this is ON:
All links (except those leading to video content) are customized for tracking.
Metrics such as Message Click Rate and Email Click Rate are tracked.
Links will show up differently to recipients (based on your tracking domain, if set).
Read more about setting up Custom Tracking Domains here
When this is OFF:
Links remain unchanged in messages.
No click tracking is recorded.
If a tracking domain has been configured for your workspace, video links may still be altered by the domain's settings.
When disabled, links are sent as-is, and no click data is collected.
Track Email Opens
Monitor open rates by toggling this ON. Stats are visible:
In Prospect Activity
Inside the Reports tab
In your Inbox via Filters > Statistics > Opened Emails
NO
⚠️ Note: that, due to ongoing changes made by major email service providers, enabling 'Open Tracking' may increase the likelihood of your emails being flagged as spam
Add Prospects From Other Campaigns
Toggle this ON to move prospects from a previous campaign into the current one (based on matching search/CSV data).
🎓 If enabled, contacts move to the newest campaign. This action isn’t reversible unless the newer campaign is deleted.
Recontact Prospects
Engage with prospects you’ve spoken to before. When this is ON:
Past contacts are included and re-messaged
The system checks if there’s an open conversation in your main Social Inbox
🎓 Note: Interceptly checks for existing messages only in your main Social Inbox, not inside Sales Navigator. So if you’ve spoken to a prospect in Sales Navigator but nowhere else, they may still be included.
Statistics & Performance
Track your campaign results in the Statistics section:
See how many prospects were contacted, replied, paused, or completed
Filter by prospect status
Access full reports to improve campaign performance
