Email deliverability tracking shows you how your connected inboxes are performing inside Interceptly. The feature is currently in alpha, so you can opt in early and help us build a more accurate deliverability report.
How to Enable Email Deliverability Tracking
When the alpha reaches your account, an opt-in window appears inside Interceptly asking whether you want to enable email deliverability tracking. To turn it on:
Open Interceptly and wait for the opt-in window to appear on your dashboard.
Select "Enable" to turn on email deliverability tracking for your account.
Review the connected inboxes that will be included in the tracking pool and confirm.
If you do not see the prompt yet, your account has not been rolled in. We are releasing the alpha gradually, so check back over the next few weeks or reach out to your account manager to be added to the next wave.
How Email Deliverability Tracking Works
Once enabled, Interceptly sends a small number of test emails from each of your connected inboxes on a regular schedule. These test emails are sent to dedicated address pools, not to your prospects or customers.
Here is what happens behind the scenes:
Interceptly sends about 20 test emails from each connected inbox every 2 weeks.
Test emails go only to dedicated Interceptly address pools, never to real outreach contacts.
Test emails appear in your email provider and may show up in your "Sent" folder.
Test sends do not count against your mailbox volume, your sender reputation, or your Interceptly campaign statistics.
Interceptly collects and processes inbox placement data in the background.
You do not need to manage anything once the feature is enabled. Interceptly handles scheduling and data collection on your behalf.
💡 Tip: If you sort your "Sent" folder by recipient, you can create a filter inside your email provider to hide the test emails from your day-to-day view.
What to Expect During the Alpha
The alpha is focused on gathering enough data to build an accurate deliverability report inside Interceptly. While the alpha is active:
The dashboard does not show a deliverability report yet, but data collection is running.
Test emails appear in your "Sent" folder. This is expected behavior.
Interceptly excludes test sends from your campaign reporting.
We may adjust the test cadence as we learn from early accounts.
A full deliverability report will appear on the Interceptly dashboard once the alpha has collected enough data across the rollout.
🚨 Note: While the feature is in alpha, the data collected is used only to build the deliverability report. Test emails are not used to send any kind of outreach to your contacts.
FAQs
Q: Will these test emails affect my deliverability or sender reputation?
A: Test emails do not affect your deliverability or sender reputation. Interceptly sends them to dedicated address pools designed to measure inbox placement without affecting your sender reputation or mailbox limits.
Q: Do test emails count toward my campaign or daily sending limits?
A: Test emails do not count toward your campaign statistics or your daily Interceptly sending limit. Interceptly tracks them separately so your reporting stays clean.
Q: Can I opt out after enabling it?
A: You can opt out at any time after enabling email deliverability tracking. Contact your account manager or reach out through the in-app chat, and we will turn off tracking for your inboxes.
Q: When will the deliverability report be available in the dashboard?
A: The deliverability report is in active development inside Interceptly. We will let you know in the product as soon as the report is available for your account.
Q: Why am I not seeing the opt-in window yet?
A: You may not see the opt-in window yet because we are rolling out the alpha gradually. Your account has not been included in this wave. Check back over the next few weeks, or contact your account manager to be added.
🚀 Success! What's next? Watch for the opt-in window inside Interceptly, and reach out to your account manager if you want to be included in the next rollout wave.
