What is Email Warm-up?
Email warm-up gradually builds your email sender reputation by sending small volumes of safe, automated emails. This helps inbox providers trust you — so your cold emails land in the inbox, not spam.
Do I need it?
Yes, especially if:
You’re using a new domain or email account
You send cold or bulk outreach
You’ve had deliverability issues
You want to protect your domain reputation
You want better open rates and replies
Included Free With Every SMTP-Connected Mailbox
You don’t need to buy or set up separate tools. Warm-up is built into Interceptly and activates automatically once your mailbox is connected via SMTP.
How to Activate Warm-Up
1. Go to the Mailboxes tab
In your Interceptly dashboard, open the Mailboxes section.
2. Choose your mailbox
Click the mailbox you've connected via SMTP.
3. Toggle warm-up ON
Flip the Warm-Up toggle to enable the feature.
4. (Optional) Adjust your warm-up settings
Default settings work great, but you can customise:
Emails per day (default = 20)
Ramp-up rate (default = 5 per day)
Reply rate (default = 30%)
Monitor Your Progress
You’ll see daily warm-up stats inside your dashboard. Hover over the warm-up chart to view email volume and activity over time.
Why is the warm-up left on?
Leaving warm-up running keeps your domain healthy. It helps maintain inbox placement by continuing to send safe, low-risk emails in the background, even after your campaigns start.
Can I add or remove mailboxes?
Yes. You can easily add or remove mailboxes in the app. If you need help, reach out via Live Chat.
