Step 1: Add a Manual Task to Your Sequence

  1. Open your Interceptly sequence editor.

  2. Add a Manual Task step after your connection request step.

  3. Name the task clearly. For example: Send LinkedIn Voicemail.

  4. Save your sequence.

Adding the task ensures Interceptly reminds you at the correct time.

You will see the reminder on your Tasks dashboard and on each prospect’s profile in Interceptly.

Step 2: Use Your Phone to Send the Voicemail

LinkedIn voicemails can only be recorded and sent from the LinkedIn mobile app.
To send the voicemail when the Manual Task appears:

  1. Open the LinkedIn mobile app on your phone.

  2. Go to the message thread with the new connection.

  3. Select the microphone icon to start recording.

  4. Record a short, friendly audio message.

    • Keep it under 60 seconds.

    • Mention something relevant to the prospect.

    • Keep your tone natural and relaxed.

  5. Select Send inside the LinkedIn app.

Your voicemail is now delivered to the prospect!

Step 3: Mark the Task as Complete

After you send the voicemail, return to Interceptly to complete the task:

  1. Open your Tasks dashboard or the prospect’s profile inside Interceptly.

  2. Locate the Manual Task titled Send LinkedIn Voicemail.

  3. Select Mark as Complete.

Once you complete the Manual Task, Interceptly automatically continues the sequence.

If the prospect replies at any point, Interceptly pauses the remaining automation so you can handle the conversation manually.
