If you are seeing fewer conversations than expected, for example, emails that were sent but are not visible under "Email Only", this article will help you understand why this happens and how to view those conversations correctly.
How the Inbox "Email Only" Filter Works
The Inbox "Email Only" filter is based on campaign type, not on whether an email exists inside a conversation.
This distinction is important and explains why some emails may not appear when the filter is applied.
What "Email Only" Shows
When you select "Email Only", Interceptly shows:
Conversations that were launched as email-only campaigns.
Campaigns that started and stayed on email from the beginning.
What "Email Only" Does Not Show
When you select "Email Only", Interceptly does not show:
Conversations that started on LinkedIn and were later continued via email.
Conversations that include both LinkedIn messages and emails.
Any multi-channel conversations, even if emails were sent.
π Note: If a conversation uses more than one channel, it is treated as a multi-channel conversation, not an email-only one.
Why Sent Emails May Not Appear Under "Email Only"
If you sent emails but do not see them when "Email Only" is selected, this is expected behavior.
This happens because:
The conversation started on LinkedIn.
Email messages were added later in the same conversation.
Interceptly categorizes this as LinkedIn + Email, not email-only.
As a result:
The emails will not appear under "Email Only".
The same conversations will appear under "All Channels".
π¨ Important: The filter does not check if emails exist. It checks how the campaign was originally launched.
How to View All Emails From a Specific Campaign
If you want to review emails that were sent as part of a campaign, including those within multi-channel conversations, follow the steps below.
Go to "Inbox".
Select "All Channels" in the "Channel" filter.
Select the "Campaign" filter.
Choose the campaign name you want to review.
This view will show:
All related conversations.
Conversations that include email messages.
Conversations that include both LinkedIn and email activity.
Best Practices
Use "Email Only" only when you want to review campaigns that were created as email-only from the start.
Use "All Channels" when reviewing:
Overall campaign performance.
Conversations that include LinkedIn and email.
Follow-ups that move between channels.
Interceptly treats conversations as single threads across channels. This gives you full context, but it also means filters are applied at the campaign level, not per individual message.

A: No. All emails were sent successfully and are visible when "All Channels" is selected.
Q: Does the "Email Only" filter by message type?
