Voicemail Drops allow you to record or upload a voice message and send it as a ringless voicemail to prospects. Messages are stored in Interceptly and can be used inside campaigns or sent from the Inbox.
This article explains how to purchase voicemail numbers, manage recordings, and add Voicemail Drops to your campaigns.

Purchasing a Number for Voicemail Drops
You need at least one voicemail number before sending Voicemail Drops. Voicemail numbers cost less than 7 credits per number and are billed monthly.

Go to Resources.
Open "Voicemail Drops".
Select "Buy Number".
Choose the country, state, and area, then enter the quantity of numbers you need. Review the available numbers.
Select the numbers you want and set a forwarding number.
The forwarding number is required.
Returned calls from prospects will be sent to this number.
The same forwarding number applies to all numbers in the batch.
You can update each number individually later.
Review your order, then select "Proceed to Checkout". Confirm by selecting "Buy Numbers".

Editing Your Voicemail Numbers
You can rename, update, or delete voicemail numbers at any time.
View Your Numbers
Go to "Resources".
Open "Voicemail Drops".
Select "Numbers".
Edit or Delete a Number
Select the three dots on a row, or select the row itself.
Choose the action you want to take.
From the edit menu, you can:
🚨 Caution: Deleted numbers cannot be refunded and cannot send or receive any further calls.
Quick Edits From the Main Screen
Rename a number by selecting the pencil icon.
Update the forwarding number by selecting the pencil icon beside it.
Adding a Voicemail Drop to a Campaign
When building a new campaign:
Add a "Dialer" step and select "Voicemail Drop".
Read and accept the Terms of Service.
Review the Voicemail Drops guide.
Select the number you want to send from.
Each number has a preset forwarding number. If you do not have a voicemail number yet, you will be prompted to buy one. You may select multiple numbers, but you must follow sending limits.
Choose the prospect’s phone number.
You can send to:
A direct phone number.
An enriched phone number.
Both.
If using enriched numbers, prospects without enriched data will not receive the voicemail unless you add an "Enrich Profile" step earlier in the campaign or enrich them manually.
Add your voicemail message:
Select one of the following:"Record".
"Upload".
Uploaded audio must match the format requirements shown on screen.To record a voicemail, select "Record", then "Start recording".
When finished, select "Stop recording".
Name your voicemail and select "Add".
Add an optional internal note to help identify the message in your Inbox.
Configure any extra actions, such as wait times or manual step approval.
Select "Save Step" to add it to your campaign.
🎓 Note: If a prospect calls back after receiving your voicemail, they will not be marked as "Replied". The campaign will continue running.
Voicemail Sending Limits
You can control how many voicemails are sent per day.
Update Sending Limits
Go to "Settings".
Select "Account Limits".
Find "Limits per day".
Daily Rules to Remember
You can send up to 70 voicemails per day from your connected Social Account.
You can send up to 3 voicemails to the same number within 3 days.
These limits protect deliverability and ensure respectful outreach.

Voicemail Drops can only be delivered to voicemail boxes that the system can access directly.
Voicemail Drops make it easy to add personal, pre-recorded messages to your outreach. This helps you connect with prospects in a natural, scalable way.
